Zai Reveals Why He Thinks Liquid Won Against Gaimin Gladiators

Team Liquid continued to showcase its dominance in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) 2023 Tour 3, following its exceptional performances in Tour 1 and Tour 2, where it claimed the top spot. With an impressive track record in Tour 3, winning all but one of its series against Entity thus far, the team recently achieved a significant milestone by defeating long-standing rivals, Gaimin Gladiators. This victory not only broke the team’s losing streak against Gaimin Gladiators but also places Team Liquid in a favorable position to secure a high standing in Tour 3 and potentially qualify for the highly anticipated Bali Major 2023. In a post-match interview, Team Liquid’s talented offlaner, Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg, shared insights into their triumph over Gaimin Gladiators after months of struggle.

Unveiling the Reason Behind the Victory

In the post-match interview following a convincing 2-0 win against Gaimin Gladiators, Team Liquid’s Zai shed light on the key factor that contributed to their success. Zai expressed his belief that both Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators are currently not in top form during Tour 3 of the DPC. He continued to say that when both teams are not performing at their absolute peak, Team Liquid holds an edge over Gaimin Gladiators.

“I dont know, they’re very good and we look up to them and while we look up to them we also hate losing to them so it definitely felt good to beat them. But I think I would say both our teams right now are maybe not in top shape. So when we’re both kinda overweight, we dint make the weight cut and we’re kinda out of shape, maybe we’re just better. So we’ll see in upcoming tournaments but they’re always fun to play and they’re an amazing team so looking forward to more matches,” Zai said.

While Gaimin Gladiators has proven its prowess by defeating Team Liquid in three consecutive grand finals at the Lima Major 2023, Dreamleague Season 19, and Berlin Major 2023, Zai’s insight suggests that the balance has shifted in Team Liquid’s favor. The ability to recognize these shifts and capitalize on them is a testament to Team Liquid’s adaptability and resilience.

Team Liquid’s recent victory over Gaimin Gladiators marks a turning point in its head-to-head rivalry. Zai’s analysis reveals the team’s awareness of its own performance levels and its opponents. With its exceptional form in the DPC Tour 3, Team Liquid stands poised to secure a prominent position in the tournament and potentially qualify for the Bali Major 2023. As the competition unfolds, fans eagerly anticipate witnessing the ongoing battle between these two formidable teams, eagerly awaiting future clashes that will undoubtedly determine the hierarchy of Western European Dota 2.
